How is the day going to go?
All the festivities will happen at The Mountain Terrace. We invite guests to arrive between 3:30 and 4:00pm to park and get settled. The outdoor wedding ceremony will start at 4pm sharp. Afterwards, we’ll enjoy appetizers and happy hour in the beautiful outdoor space, followed by a sit-down dinner on the terrace. Music, dancing and cake (and maybe cannoli and coffee if we can swing it) will close out the evening. The official fun ends at 10:00pm.
What’s the vibe?
We’re embracing a fun-formal kind of energy - the kind that allows for a bride in a traditional bridal gown to play lawn games and a groom & his groomsmen in tuxedos to make s’mores by the fire pit. It’s what happens when you combine a sit-down affair, a picturesque redwoods forest, and some very casual, fun-loving people. So get dressed up, but nothing so buttoned up that it restricts your corn hole toss!
What about the weather?
We have access to both indoor and outdoor space, but much of the night will be outdoors or outdoors-adjacent before the sun goes down. When we have dinner on the terrace, there will be heat lamps and tents, but you might want to bring a light wrap if you get chilly in the night air. Dancing and dessert after dinner will happen indoors.
In the event of rain, we’ll move everything indoors.
We’re going to do some reconnaissance this October 2024, near the one-year-away date, and will let you know what we find out.
